Location: Elizabethtown, KY
Hours: Part Time - 3 days/week (Monday-Friday, 6am-5pm; must be available to work any shift within these hours)
About the Role
A Patient Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for their visit through excellent patient care. This role also performs necessary administrative responsibilities to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient flow
- Verify medical and vision insurances
- Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
- Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone)
- Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
- Answer phones (both external and internal) with prompt, courteous service
- Practice urgency with patients' time and doctors' schedules
- Manage patient flow in the office
- Knowledge of common fees charged for visits and collect correct payments
- Complete daily reconciliations, close the day, and count down the cash drawer
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have own vehicle and be an insured, licensed driver in current state of residence
- Favorable result on background check
- Basic computer skills

- Reliable transportation to travel to multiple work locations with minimal notice
Qualifications
- Minimum: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum: One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Physical Requirements
This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions:
- Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%)
- Regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%)
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands for constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology
- Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—required 100% of the time
- Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary
