About the Role
A Patient Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for patients, setting the tone for their visit through excellent patient care. This role also performs necessary administrative responsibilities to create a smooth check-in and check-out experience for patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
- Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
- Answer phones (both external and internal); ensure prompt, courteous service at all times.
- Practice urgency with patients’ time, as well as doctors’ time and schedules.
- Manage patient flow in the office.
- Verify medical and vision insurances.
- Knowledge of common fees charged for visits and collect correct payments.
- Complete daily reconciliations, close the day, and count down the cash drawer.
- Facilitate communication with patients, doctors, and managers through phone, email, and in-person requests.
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Favorable result on background check.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excitement to learn and grow.
- One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%).
- Regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs.
- Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands for constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology.
- Visual and auditory acuity, including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, required 100% of the time.
- Occasional driving or climbing may be necessary.

Schedule
Full-time position. Office hours are Monday–Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Shifts will fall within these hours, with occasional need to work earlier or later as needed.
