Patient Coordinator FT 30-32hrs

Part-Time or Full-Time (30-32 hrs/wk). Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM–2:00 PM. Location: 2851 Tricom Street, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public on the imaging center’s behalf.
• Welcome all patients and their family members into the imaging center, ensuring they feel comfortable.
• Anticipate and attend to the needs of patients and visitors.
• Check patients in and schedule patient appointments.
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls to the appropriate party.
• Collect balances from patients’ financial responsibility at time of service.
• Perform other front office/desk duties as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior Experience

• 0–2+ years of experience working in a customer support role or hospitality field.

Special Qualifications

• Strong customer service background and focus.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on a computer.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting.
• Medical records experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
