About the role

The Patient Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth scheduling, preparation, and follow-up for patient appointments. This position supports patients throughout their care experience, coordinates communication between providers and patients, and ensures all clinical and administrative needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient appointments, ensuring accuracy in time allocation, provider availability, and operatory needs.
• Confirm appointments are appropriately spaced and aligned with provider and operatory availability.

• Contact patients to confirm appointments and provide preparation and follow-up instructions.

• Address patient questions and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Maintain the appointment calendar and alert the Office Manager or clinical team of any conflicts or changes.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework or healthcare-related education is preferred.
• Previous experience in dental or healthcare scheduling is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills are required.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
