Patient Coordinator

About the Role

MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public at our outpatient diagnostic imaging facilities in Gastonia and Belmont.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all patients and their family members into the imaging center, ensuring they feel comfortable.
• Anticipate and attend to the needs of patients and visitors.
• Check patients in and schedule patient appointments.
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls to the appropriate party.
• Collect balances from patients’ financial responsibility at time of service.
• Perform other front office/desk duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0 - 2+ years of experience working in a customer support role or hospitality field.
• Strong customer service background and focus.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on a computer.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting.
• Medical records experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Schedule

• Part-time: Sunday at Gastonia (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Monday at Belmont (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
