About the role
Northwest Eyes is seeking a Patient Concierge to join their team. They are a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice known for their national recognition, extensive clinical experience, advanced technology, and successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Offer personalized service during patient registration, including greeting patients, collecting and updating demographic and financial information, and collecting co-pays.
- Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with patients and visitors, assist in the completion of various documents and patient paperwork, and effectively manage dynamic or escalated patient encounters.
- Schedule all provider appointments. Ensure pre-certifications/prior authorizations are received, and interpreters are obtained when necessary.
- Collect and make changes for payments received, complete a receipt for the patient, and follow the appropriate paperwork to complete the transaction.
- Maintain the cash records by comparing daily cash amounts against daily transactions to ensure that the records balance.
- Maintain the general appearance of the waiting room or reception area; straighten magazines, chairs, and the coffee service area.
- Maintain working knowledge of all office equipment, fax, copiers, phones, postage meter, etc. Maintain inventory, ordering, and stocking supplies.
- Prepare and maintain electronic medical charts/records, forms, registration materials, and other related documents according to the company policies and procedures.
- Track and order supplies as required.
- Maintain flexibility and perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, G-Suite, and Windows environment
- Willingness to help in all areas, flexibility, and effective teamwork
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for exemplary customer service
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, time management, and adaptability to a changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of general office experience, healthcare setting preferred
