Patient Support Volunteers

Residential Hospice is seeking dedicated Patient Support Volunteers to help patients and families through their end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort, companionship and friendship to patients in a nursing facility or at home.
• Engage with patients in various ways depending on their needs, such as reading aloud, doing puzzles, attending facility activities, listening to music, talking, or holding a hand.
• Offer a respite for caregivers who are caring for a loved one.

Requirements

• Kind and friendly.
• Willing to help others in your community.
• Patience and empathy.
• One-year commitment or longer.
