About the role
Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
Responsibilities
- Required Certification: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
- 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
- Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
- Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program (program must include a minimum of 40 hours OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM clinical training)
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion, Modified Facility: BayCare Health System, St. Joseph's Hospital South
