About the role

North Central Surgical Center (NCSC) is a Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital in Dallas, TX, performing over 12,000 elective surgical procedures yearly. Opened in 2005, it features 14 operating rooms, 30 medical/surgical patient rooms, and specialties ranging from orthopedics and spine to bariatric surgery. Managed by United Surgical Partners International and Joint Commission accredited, NCSC is seeking a full‑time Patient Care Technician to work the day shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care
• Manage patient flow through departments
• Answer phones
• Troubleshoot issues for nurses
• Perform chart building
• Carry out specialized medical procedures of a routine nature as needed
• Authorized to access storage areas for patient care duties within scope of practice

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
• One year of experience preferred
• AHA BLS certification required

Skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
• Ability to follow established cleaning methods for daily tasks
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
• Ability to keep equipment in good working condition
• Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
