Patient Care Tech PCU Days

About the role

Location: 11801 South Fwy, Burleson, TX 76028

Shift: 7:00am – 7:00pm, three shifts per week (full‑time, day shift)

Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record
• Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy
• Performs duties and patient care according to policy and procedure
• Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (required)
• 1+ year applicable PCT experience (preferred)
• Basic Life Support – CPR Certification (BLS) (required)
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) (preferred)
• NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) OR NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) OR AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT‑C) (preferred)
• Emergency Medical Tech Certification (EMT) (preferred)

Pay

$16.53 – $26.45 per hour
