Role Overview The Patient Care Technician provides clinical support to the patient care team by performing essential tasks such as basic patient care, reporting patient data, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. They may also take on responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator, including administrative duties like answering phones, transcribing orders, and managing supplies. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient care including toileting, bathing, ambulating, and comfort measures with exceptional customer service.Report patient condition changes promptly and document findings accurately.Monitor patients, perform telemetry duties if required, and support the interdisciplinary team.Transport medications and assist with care plan implementation within scope of practice.Perform administrative tasks such as managing unit records and supplies when acting as a health unit coordinator.Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety policies and responding effectively to emergencies. Qualifications & Skills Montana CNA license and BLS certification.Basic computer literacy, strong communication, and teamwork skills.Ability to perform vital signs, specimen collection, and safe patient handling.Preferred: prior healthcare experience or current nursing student status. Physical & Other Requirements Ability to read, communicate effectively, lift, and assist with patient mobility.Manual dexterity for equipment use and documentation.Ability to stand, walk, and navigate busy environments; driving may be required.
