About the role

DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis (DSD) is bringing industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF). Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, placing a significant burden on patients and adding avoidable costs to the healthcare system. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in this new service line, you will work in a start-up environment to improve patients' lives by providing dialysis care directly at SNF locations.

You will be based at our site dialysis dens within Northridge Health and Rehabilitation (5430 Boone Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428) and Providence Place (3720 23rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407). The position requires working a minimum of two shifts per month, with 12+ hour shifts at either location. Operations run Monday through Saturday, and scheduled days will vary based on market needs.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting, ensuring dialysis treatment stays on track.
Work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to deliver dialysis care.
Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet clinical outcomes and the needs of patients and SNF partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional resources across DaVita.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification required.
Physical and mental ability to work long hours (12+ hour shifts) on your feet.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $22.00 - $34.00/hour, depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, including a 401k match and healthcare coverage.
