Overview
Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician Preceptor (PCT) to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing dialysis treatment to multiple patients at a time. The role involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening clinics at 4 AM for the first shift.
Job Description
As a Patient Care Technician, you will assist other healthcare members in providing patient-specific education regarding dialysis adequacy measures. You will also evaluate vascular access, perform cannulation, obtain vital signs, initiate and monitor dialysis treatments, and ensure patient safety throughout the process. This role requires a combination of technical skills and genuine passion to build deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life.
Success Profile
Successful candidates must have prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience. They will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis and develop strong relationships with patients and their families.
