Patient Care Technician - PCT Training Provided!

Overview

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing dialysis treatment to several patients at a time. This role offers opportunities for learning the discipline of dialysis and developing deep relationships with patients.

Job Description

• Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform vascular access cannulation.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and monitor patients’ response to therapy.
• Document vital signs and treatment parameters accurately and timely.
• Ensure appropriate safety alarms are enabled and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Support the organization’s Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and participate in process improvement activities.

Success Profile

• Prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience.
• Ability to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life.
• Strong management skills and prior direct patient care experience.
