Position Highlights

This position offers 72 hours/2 weeks of rotating shift work, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The pay range is $18.00 - $23.50 per hour, with a potential $750 sign-on bonus.

Responsible for

  • Providing safe and direct patient care: ambulating, bathing, positioning, entering diet information, passing meal trays, feeding, and attending to other care needs.
  • Responding promptly to patient call lights and special needs, ensuring proper handling and accounting for patient valuables and personal items.
  • Greeting visitors, answering inquiries, directing and assisting them, taking and relaying messages, assisting with gifts, flowers, and mail for patients, running errands for department staff.
  • Ambulating patients and assisting them in and out of wheelchairs, measuring intakes and outputs, collecting specimens, and transporting patients as needed.
  • Answering telephones, operating paging systems, attending stations during emergencies, preparing requisitions for diagnostic and therapeutic services, coordinating appointments, making outpatient appointments for discharging patients, requisitioning supplies and equipment, maintaining patient rooms, changing bed linens, and performing routine cleaning tasks.

Essential Qualifications

  • The individual must be able to work the specified hours.
  • Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others.

Preferred Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the licensing board.
