Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Tech (PCT) performs various patient‑care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Duties include:

• Performing patient‑care activities within the limits of the position
• Providing supportive services without administering medications or therapy
• Following PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Completing other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state (preferred)
• May be a Patient Care Tech working in Texas
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Experience: none required; 2–3 years in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred
