Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Take patient history, obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, complete lab paperwork, conduct point-of-care testing, schedule ancillary care, assist providers with exams, and document patient history and findings.
• Reception: Greet patients, complete registration, explain insurance options, collect patient responsibility, handle printing, scanning, and faxing, and maintain clinic cleanliness.
• Occupational Medicine: Ensure accurate documentation, complete occupational medicine testing, and adhere to regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role, or equivalent education/certification.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
• Ability to identify and correct equipment issues, establish relationships, use computers for patient registration, and maintain certifications.
• Excellent communication, note-taking, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or GED, with preferred certifications such as EMT Basic, Medical Assistant (CCMA, CMA, RMA), and CPR.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Customer service orientation and teamwork abilities.

Skills

• CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills for patient registration and EMR use.

Pay

Starting at $21.00 per hour.
