Overview

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing dialysis treatment to several patients at a time. The role involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening clinics early in the morning.

Job Description

Patient Care Technicians at Fresenius Medical Care support the dialysis health care team by assisting with patient-specific education, evaluating vascular access, performing vascular access cannulation, obtaining vital signs, initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, and documenting patient responses. They also assist in preparing and organizing supplies, ensuring patient safety, and conducting machine safety checks.

Success Profile

The ideal candidate should have prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience. They will receive 12 weeks of paid training and will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver personalized care plans to each patient.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must meet CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements
