Overview

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing dialysis treatment to several patients at a time. This role involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening clinics at 4 am for the first shift.

Job Description

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to multiple patients. They are responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, preparing and testing equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. PCTs also educate patients on dialysis-related topics and monitor patients' responses to treatment.

Success Profile

The ideal candidate should have prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience. They should have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Strong management skills are required, and prior direct patient care experience is needed for occasions when the team needs a helping hand.
