Patient Care Technician, Part-Time, Days, 6a - 6:30p, Med/Surg, Stratford
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We need to parse the posting. The posting includes: - Number of Positions in Requisition 1 (metadata) - Job Details: description repeated. - Summary Job Description (same as earlier) - Job Duties (list of duties) - Minimum Qualifications (list) - Additional Qualifications (LVHN colleagues must complete LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course.) - Physical Demands (list) - Job Description Disclaimer (boilerplate, remove) - Salary Range $18.66 to $26.60 Hourly (Pay) - Work Shift Workday Day (United States of America) (Schedule) - Worker Sub Type Regular Employee (metadata) - Entity Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc (metadata) - Primary Location Address (metadata) - Then a paragraph about Jefferson (boilerplate about organization) - maybe we can include as About the role? Actually "About the role" could be the summary description. The posting includes a commitment to patient and family centered care etc. That's the role description. We can put that in
under About the role heading. - Benefits section: there is a Benefits paragraph describing benefits. Thus we need sections: About the role (summary), Responsibilities (Job Duties), Requirements (Minimum Qualifications + Additional Qualifications?), maybe Qualifications separate? The instruction: use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We can choose which to include based on content. We have: - About the role: summary description (commitment to patient and family centered care, PCT provides designated direct and indirect patient care activities under direction, may collaborate with telehealth etc.) - Responsibilities: Job Duties list. - Requirements: Minimum Qualifications list. - Qualifications: Additional Qualifications? Could be separate but maybe combine with Requirements. However we have Additional Qualifications (LVHN colleagues must complete LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course.) That's a qualification. - Skills: Not explicitly listed; maybe we can infer from Minimum Qualifications includes knowledge of medical terminology, communication, etc. Could treat as Skills but we might not have a distinct Skills section. Better to not create empty. - Benefits: Benefits paragraph. - Pay: Salary Range. - Schedule: Work Shift Workday Day. We should not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. We must preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details from the posting within those sections. We need to format lists with
- . For prose use
. We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. Also remove Job Description Disclaimer. Also remove the repeated summary (the duplicate). Also remove the "Number of Positions in Requisition 1 Job Details" maybe metadata but we can drop minor metadata into a short
or drop it. The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. So we can include a short paragraph for metadata like "Number of Positions: 1" maybe but it's minor. Could drop it. Safer to drop. We need to include location address maybe as part of About the role? Could be separate but not required heading. Could include as a short paragraph under About the role? But we need to preserve all substantive information. Location is substantive. Could include as a
under About the role or separate heading like "Location". But not in allowed headings list. We could incorporate into About the role paragraph. Similarly Entity, Worker Sub Type etc are metadata; we can drop or fold into short paragraph. We need to avoid duplication: The summary appears twice; we only include once. Let's extract content: About the role (summary): "With a commitment to patient and family centered care, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides designated direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction and supervision of the licensed clinical team members in ways that value the uniqueness of each individual and addresses the physiological, emotional, and social needs of the diversity of patients served by Jefferson Health. May collaborate with all clinical departments (a/k/a/telehealth) and designated staff at the patient's site for the purpose of facilitating and assisting with telehealth encounters between patients and providers." That's the core. Responsibilities (Job Duties): List: - Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners. - Performs validated and designated direct and indirect patient care activities to meet patient care needs under direction of licensed clinical team members. - Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment. - Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient unit operations. - Conducts patient rounds as assigned, anticipates patient needs, and answers/responds to patient call light or pages promptly. - May be assigned the role of a virtual safety associate as needed based on campus needs. - May be required, to facilitate, under the direction of the distant provider, a clinical exam including the utilization of any required peripheral devices (e.g. electronic stethescope), other technology (e.g. video conferencing equipment) and software (e.g. Epic, Vidyo, etc) ensuring a comprehensive virtual care encounter is conducted. Requirements (Minimum Qualifications): List: - High School Diploma/GED - Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care needs and their role in interprofessional team. - Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role. - Knowledge of personal care and hygiene necessary for quality of life, and ability to apply this knowledge to patients in need on a daily basis. - Knowledge of the risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment, and the ability to take steps to reduce these risks. - Knowledge of how to convey respect and collaborate with each patient, family and/or designated care partner in care. - Knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect and connect effectively. - Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques, ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. - Uses the language of partnership with patients and families, engaging them in their health and health care. - BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire Additional Qualifications: - LVHN colleagues must successfully complete LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course. Physical Demands (maybe could be under Requirements or separate but we have no heading for Physical Demands; we could include under Requirements as part of qualifications? But we have no specific heading for Physical Demands; we could add a section "Physical Demands" but not in allowed list. The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings? It says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Likely they expect only those headings. So we should map Physical Demands into Requirements or Qualifications. Probably include under Requirements as part of qualifications. Thus Requirements will include both Minimum Qualifications and Physical Demands and Additional Qualifications? Might be too much but okay. We could split: Requirements (Minimum Qualifications), Qualifications (Additional Qualifications + Physical Demands). But we have both headings allowed. Let's decide: - About the role: summary paragraph. - Responsibilities: Job Duties list. - Requirements: Minimum Qualifications list. - Qualifications: Additional Qualifications + Physical Demands list. - Benefits: Benefits paragraph. - Pay: Salary Range paragraph. - Schedule: Work Shift paragraph. We must not create sections with filler text. All have content. Now we need to format. We'll output:
