About the role
Provides patient-related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
Responsibilities
- Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervision of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed.
- Assists, observes, and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
- Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED – Required
- Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year – Required
- 6 months in acute care experience – Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Preferred
- Clinical Other\EMT – Emergency Medical Tech – Preferred
Schedule
- Full-time Day shift with 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
- Self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage
- Scheduled workdays may vary; no set or fixed days
- Weekend and Holiday rotations required
- Weekend shift differentials offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable
