Patient Care Technician - Intermediate Care Unit (5ABCD) - 501179

Job Summary

Patient Care Technician facilitates and assists in meeting the needs of the patient. Tasks are delegated by the Registered Nurse, Lead/Charge Nurse, Nursing Director/Assistant Nursing Director, and House Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Successful completion of State Approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) exam and active certification on the applicable state registry at the time of application
• Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program

Required Abilities

• Write legibly, speak articulately, and follow directions accurately
• Plan and organize work
• Work under supervision

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable
• Ability to hear (with or without aides)
• Manual dexterity
• Push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently
• Perform CPR
