Patient Care Technician - Full-time Nights

About the Role

The Patient Care Technician supports Registered Nurses in providing direct and indirect patient care within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge, and perform vital signs and measurements.
• Obtain specimens, perform phlebotomy, and apply monitoring equipment.
• Provide personal care, assist with feeding, and support newborn and patient comfort.
• Respond to calls and emergencies, initiate basic life support, and document observations.
• Transport patients and equipment, prepare rooms, and ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and stock supplies.
• Collaborate with staff, participate in quality improvement, and support unit operations.

Requirements

• CNA certification or enrolled in nursing program with clinical experience.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• High school diploma; additional healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to relate well to patients and staff.
