Patient Care Technician - Float Pool
About the role
This is a full time, day shift opening (3, 12 hour shifts from 7am-7:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays).
Responsibilities
- 1:1 patient observation for suicide prevention, elopement, or prevention of medical device dislodgement
- Hygiene care: bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, urinary and fecal incontinence care
- Bladder scanning
- Walking patients
- Vital Signs (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation measurements)
- Assistant with feeding
- Participate in Basic Life Saving (BLS) interventions
Requirements
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology Course or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
- 6 months Health care experience

Schedule
Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties assigned to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse.
Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
