Responsibilities

• Implements components of the plan of care
• Initiates and completes procedures for basic human, mental health and social needs
• Comfort, safety and emergency measures
• Activities of daily living
• Personal care needs
• Nutrition and fluid needs
• Elimination needs
• Measures vital signs
• Performs ECGs
• Venipuncture
• IV placement
• Capillary blood glucose testing
• Unit Secretary duties
• Patient Transport duties
• Environment of Care duties

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Successful completion of Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program
• EMT training program or Nursing student with satisfactory completion of Nursing 101 clinical or equivalent clinical rotation
