About the role

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs delegated functions as a member of a patient care team to provide a variety of services. The main function of these activities is to assist patients in order to provide comfort, support and maintain patient safety while contributing to their overall healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall healthcare of patients

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills
  • CPR (American Heart Association)
  • BLSCertification as nursing assistant- CNA, Medical Assistant or EMT preferred
  • Matriculation in a nursing program encouraged
  • Demonstrated competencies in a related field at Hartford Hospital will be considered
