About the role
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs delegated functions as a member of a patient care team to provide a variety of services. The main function of these activities is to assist patients in order to provide comfort, support and maintain patient safety while contributing to their overall healthcare.
Responsibilities

- Contribute to the overall healthcare of patients
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Effective communication skills
- CPR (American Heart Association)
- BLSCertification as nursing assistant- CNA, Medical Assistant or EMT preferred
- Matriculation in a nursing program encouraged
- Demonstrated competencies in a related field at Hartford Hospital will be considered
