Patient Care Technician All Shifts
About the role
Assists the provider in opening and closing procedures and attends scheduled market calls and ongoing training.
Greets patients in a friendly manner and assists them through self-scheduling at kiosks or online.
Manages the patient waiting area proactively by addressing patient needs and communicating wait times.
Performs daily inventory of medical and office supplies and communicates ordering needs to the practitioner on duty.
Maintains clinic cleanliness by cleaning exam rooms before and after patient use and at the end of the day, and checks bathroom cleanliness.
Facilitates clinic and patient flow by preparing patients in exam rooms and collecting and entering demographic data, insurance information, and medical history.
Elevates patient concerns and immediate care needs to the provider on duty and serves as a chaperone for exams as requested.
Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently to keep provider schedules booked.
Communicates cordially and professionally with patients via phone and in person to meet their needs promptly.
Advocates for services such as sick visits, flu shots, vaccines, and physicals.

Requirements
High School Grad or Equiv
1+ years of experience in patient care
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient with computer programs with word processing: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels of management and staff
- Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail and ability to multi task
- Ability to deal with data that is of a sensitive and confidential nature (HIPAA)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT)
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)
