About the role
This is a full-time Day shift position working three 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. Self-scheduling is available for shift and weekend coverage; scheduled workdays may vary. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. Weekend, evening, and night shift differentials are offered where applicable.
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Provides patient-related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
- Provides and collaborates in direct patient care services under the direct supervision of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed.
- Assists, observes, and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregivers and maintains accurate medical record documentation.
- Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year
- 6 months of acute care experience (preferred)
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Certification Preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (EMT) – License Preferred
