Patient Care Technician / Acute Care / Full Time / Nights

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient support to patients and the healthcare team by assisting with direct patient care, monitoring, and daily operational tasks under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Promote patient comfort, safety, and dignity while ensuring a clean, organized, and responsive care environment.
• Perform activities of daily living, vital signs, point of care testing, skin care, and assist with cardiac monitoring under the supervision of licensed staff.
• Document and communicate effectively by accurately recording care and observations in the clinical system and relaying patient information to the healthcare team in a timely manner.
• Perform clerical/secretarial functions such as answering the phone, arranging external transport, patient record preparation/assembly, filing, entering charges, contacting physicians, maintaining logs, scheduling tests and requests for services from other departments.
• Train and support new staff, demonstrating professionalism, and adapting to changing unit needs.
• Prepare, prevent, protect, and respond to support our culture of safety.

• Experience: None
• Certifications: BLS within 90 days of hire
