Patient Care Technician 2 - Experienced Techs NEEDED!! Full or Part Time

About the role

Highland Hospital, a 261-bed community teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Rochester Medical Center, is seeking Patient Care Techs with experience to join their team. Candidates must be available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, on a full or part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document patient vital signs.
• Maintain, measure, and document output from drainage systems (urinary, gastric, wound).
• Bath, toilet, and groom patients.
• Position and turn patients.
• Recognize, document, and report physical, behavioral, and mental changes in patients.
• Stock and maintain unit patient care supplies.
• Transport patients and specimens.
• Precept new Patient Care Techs.
• Perform EKGs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of healthcare experience providing direct personal care and interaction with patients in an acute care or long-term care setting.

Qualifications

Education: A GED or High School Diploma is required for all levels.
