Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport
- Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment
- Assist patients in PreOp and PostOp
- Obtain and record patient vital signs
- Provide nutritional intake and report results and observations
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred
- CNA, MA, or other certifications preferred
- 1+ year experience in a patient care role
- Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
- Patient interviewing skills
- Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
- Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- Current CPR or BLS accredited by AHA
Schedule
Monday-Friday work schedule. No call required. No nights, no weekends, no holiday work hours.
