Join our team as a day shift, PRN, Oncology Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Tulsa, OK. At Hillcrest Medical Center—a 656-bed hospital—you’ll work in a facility that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, advanced cancer treatment technology, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Observe patients’ progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines.
• Assist patients with range of motion and draw blood.

Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross-trained and cross-competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
