Patient Care Tech / PCT Med-Surg Ortho

About the role

Night shift, full-time Med Surg Ortho Patient Care Tech (PCT) position in Tulsa, OK at Hillcrest Hospital South, a full-service 180-bed facility in south Tulsa offering inpatient and outpatient services with cutting‑edge technology. Hillcrest South is the only DNV Orthopedic Center of Excellence in Oklahoma and its RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform duties.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements per unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
• Completion of an approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long‑term care.
