Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) - Nights

Norman Regional Hospital Intermediate Care (IMC) cares for a wide variety of critical patients with complex medical conditions. The NRHS IMC team is the step-down unit and dedicated stroke unit providing award-winning advanced stroke care.

Compensation / Benefits

• Pay: $14.29–$23.34/hr depending on previous work experience
• Evening differential: $1.50/hr
• Night differential: $1.75/hr
• Weekend differential: $1.75/hr

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment
• Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse
• Provides general nursing care and routine treatment/procedures
• Facilitates processing of patients
• Provides clerical receptionist support
• Provides coordinating support
• Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
• Experience: Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care; current BLS must be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
