Patient Care Tech (PCA, CNA, EMT) - Emergency Room

It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. About the role
Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing specific duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect patient care activities essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to comprehensive patient care, ensuring a positive patient experience alongside the care team. The role operates in a high-activity work environment with multiple priorities and requires scheduling flexibility.

Schedule
This is a 24-hour night position requiring every other weekend and every other holiday.
Qualifications
- No experience required; on-site training provided.
- Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
- Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire or job transfer.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment preferred.
- Current certified BLS Provider credential from the AHA preferred.
- Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA preferred for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
