Patient Care Tech - Part Time

About the Role

The Patient Care Tech III provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians, assisting with daily activities, monitoring high-risk patients, and ensuring a safe environment. They communicate observations to nurses, assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and nourishment, and participate in de-escalation and restraint procedures when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient status changes clearly to the healthcare team.
• Maintain constant observation of high-risk patients.
• Support patient safety and assist with interventions.
• Aid with personal care, mobility, and transportation of patients.
• Adhere to departmental policies, participate in meetings, and promote a respectful, safe environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience in acute care, EMT, or similar roles.
• Competency in medical terminology and computer skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm under stress.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform heavy-duty tasks.
