About the role
Under the direction of the Allied Health Educator, the Patient Care Tech Intern will complete the required phlebotomy curriculum which includes approximately six weeks of clinical instruction, 100 successful blood specimen collections, EMR training, as well as BLS within the specified timeframe. At the successful completion of the internship, the Patient Care Tech Intern will advance to the Patient Care Tech I position.
Location: Kent Campus Hospital. Status: Full Time, 72 Hours. Shift: Days.

- Abide by all infection prevention policies and OSHA regulations.
- Receive a passing grade on final evaluation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required; preferred experience includes work in a hospital or healthcare facility.
