Patient Care Tech II (ER)

About the role

The Patient Care Tech II position is available to assist healthcare practitioners in the daily functions of the Emergency Department. The PCT will be a member of the ED team and will be responsible for working cooperatively with team members, leadership, and physicians to perform tasks needed to provide optimum patient care.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with team members, leadership, and physicians to perform tasks needed to provide optimum patient care.
• Function under the supervision of the Emergency Department Physician in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the National Scope of Practice for Paramedics.
• Assist the licensed nurse in the implementation of plan of care for patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Report directly to the charge nurse.

Requirements

• Current certification in the state of MO as a paramedic.
• NREMT required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a field paramedic with EMS agency.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
