Patient Care Tech Emergency PRN

Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00pm - 7:30am
• Rotating weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing staff with patient care tasks
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms
• Aids with movement and placement of patients
• Affords assistance with personal care and activities of daily living
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
• Documents necessary records accurately and timely
• Maintains monitoring and reporting of patient conditions
• Ensures proper functioning and maintenance of medical equipment
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Fulfills safety and infection control protocols
• Participates in training and development activities

Requirements

• High School Grad or Equivalent
• 1+ applicable PCT experience
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Emergency Medical Tech Certification (EMT)
