About the Role
The Patient Care Technician provides essential clinical support by performing patient care tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team. They may also handle duties of a Health Unit Coordinator, including answering phones, transcribing orders, and managing supplies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver basic patient care such as hygiene, ambulation, and comfort measures, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Report patient data and changes in condition promptly, assisting with telemetry duties if needed.
- Transport medications, assist with patient monitoring, and implement delegated care plans.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Montana CNA license and BLS certification are required.
- Strong skills in patient care, communication, teamwork, computer literacy, and safe patient handling.
- Preferred experience as a CNA or current nursing school enrollment.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to see, read, lift, and transfer patients safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate busy environments.
- Manual dexterity for delicate tasks and operating equipment.
