Patient Care Tech

Assists licensed nursing staff in providing safe, quality, direct patient care under the direction of the registered nurse and within scope of defined practice.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of nurse aide training program
• Registration with Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry
• Basic Life Support certification (completed within orientation period)

Experience preferred in geriatric, med/surg, or pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Long periods of standing, walking, stooping, heavy lifting, and bending
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently

Working Conditions

• Works in a well-lit, ventilated, and air-conditioned area
• Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds
• Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain, and assault
• Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation, and antineoplastic agents

Schedule

Full-time night shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
