Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician performs various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision, helping deliver patient care and meet family needs while following the care plan and considering the patient's age and development stage.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data, record vital signs, and help patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
• Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharges.
• Take care of patient personal hygiene and help with patient clean up.
• Comply with Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience
• Certification/License/Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
