Patient Care Tech

Patient Care Techs provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. Patient Care Techs function under the direction, instruction, and supervision of nursing staff. Patient Care Techs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives, and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health-related services
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Input data into computer programs
• Participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives
• Engage in continuing education

Requirements

• No previous experience required
• Patient Care Tech Orientation
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Communication and public relation skills
• OSHA Category 1 - High Risk designation
