About the Role
As our Nursing Assistant, you will help our patients navigate their hospital stay by assisting them with basic activities of daily living and closely monitoring their physical comfort so they can feel safer, more comfortable, and supported throughout their healing journey. Every day you will diligently manage essential patient care tasks while remaining highly observant of changes in a patient's condition. You will maintain a proactive workflow and collaborate closely with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a genuine desire to help others feel better, accept feedback and coaching well, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to continuously learn and grow as a care provider.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hourly rounds on approximately 8 to 10 patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed
- Collaborate with RN in implementation of the care plan
- Assist patients with activities of daily living according to standards of care and hospital protocol
- Report significant observed or reported alterations in the patient's condition
- Assist with patient admission, discharge, and transfer
Requirements
- Documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or EMT program, or completion of the first block of a nursing program
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Two (2) years of experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care hospital setting
- Arizona CNA License
- Arizona Emergency Medical Technician (EMT:AZ) certification
