Overview

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital's staff includes full-time academic faculty and community physicians from Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows, and other medical professionals. Recognized for its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Surgical Services Department provides pre-op and post-op inpatient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in ENT and Plastic surgery. Inpatient care focuses on pre-op needs, post-op care, and treatment during phase I recovery until discharge from an inpatient nursing division. The department's surgical observation unit offers more intensive care and treatment to post-op or post-traumatic patients requiring this level of care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician
