Med Surg Patient Care Tech-FT

About the role

Memorial Hospital Belleville seeks a dedicated individual to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed professionals. This role supports the nursing team in creating a safe environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Performs vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures
• Catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as needed
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nursing team
• Aids in patient and family education
• Documents all patient care activities accurately
• Serves as a patient safety sitter as necessary
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment for patient needs
• Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Engages in professional development opportunities

Requirements

• No prior experience required
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred
