About the role
The Supervisor Patient Care oversees nursing operations and patient care across multiple units during night shifts, ensuring staffing, quality standards, and adherence to protocols. They collaborate with hospital departments, support staff, and communicate with management about critical issues. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, evaluating staffing needs, assisting in decision-making, and responding to emergencies, including activating the Hospital Emergency Incident Command when necessary. They promote quality care, participate in educational efforts, and support hospital objectives.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN degree.
- Current RN licensure in the relevant state.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, with preferred supervisory or leadership background.
- Experience in clinical pediatrics required; healthcare experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Current BLS certification; additional certifications like PALS, NRP, ACLS, or TNCC preferred.
