About the role

SMG Cardiology Elizabeth City is hiring a Patient Care Specialist.

Primary duties

• Answering phones
• Scheduling appointments
• Answering patient questions

Education requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• An associate level degree or higher in lieu of experience

Experience requirements

• Three years’ Customer Service experience required
• One year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third-Party Payers required
• Prior pre-authorization experience preferred
• Electronic Medical Record preferred
