About the role

The Patient Care Services Coordinator is a dedicated and detail-oriented member of the healthcare team who oversees patient support activities and works to enhance patient experience. This role operates in various hospital locations, including the infusion clinic, inpatient care unit, care management, and the emergency department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient support activities such as scheduling appointments
• Coordinate with healthcare providers
• Communicate with health insurance companies
• Ensure patient needs are met effectively and efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree (preferred)
• Hospital and/or nursing home affiliation (preferred)
• Insurance and prior authorization knowledge (preferred)
• High level of comfort with technology, including electronic medical records system(s)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• High level of emotional intelligence
• Comfort level with autonomy

Pay

The base rate for this position is $19.00 - $22.50 per hour. The hourly range is a good faith estimate, and the final rate will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
