About the role

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is a Magnet Hospital, offering world-class healthcare. The Progressive Coronary Care Unit (PK II) focuses on cardiac patients, providing excellent care with a strong emphasis on cardiothoracic surgery, dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring, and heart failure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
  • Perform tasks such as vital signs, weight, assisting with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices, and removing urinary Foley catheter.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to an RN.
  • Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross, or must obtain during new hire period.
  • Nursing students: Required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross prior to hire.
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
  • Proficient in applied mathematics and reading comprehension at an eighth-grade level.

Qualifications

  • Nursing students: Required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross prior to hire.
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
  • Proficient in applied mathematics & reading comprehension at an eighth-grade level.

Pay

  • Minimum hourly: $18.25
  • Maximum hourly: $24.95

Schedule

  • Nights from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • Rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
